So I’m sitting here waiting to receive a PM containing a link to a private beta version of VideoRedo TVSuite with h.264 support.
A couple of weeks back we ordered a Hauppauge HD PVR to test at the office in hopes of upgrading our current video recording solution. The device integrates seemlessly into Beyond TV and uses a RF blaster to control the DirecTV H20 receiver it’s connected to. The format Beyond TV records is h.264 with the extension .tp. There’s not much out there that right now that can handle this format when it comes to easy commercial review. The only other software I’ve found that can handle it is the donor’s version of Comskip, but that still requires other 3rd party software to do the actually removal of the commercials. Hopefully I’ll be able to start testing TVS tomorrow and come up with some positives results.
Anyone else had this problem and been able to find a fast and friendly commercial editing application for h.264 .tp files recorded in Beyond TV?
